If catching some sun and listening to music with a drink in your hand sounds appealing, chances are you’ve celebrated the only holiday that occurs more than once a year. Sunday Funday is a tradition for countless people who can’t let go of the fact that the weekend is almost over.
If you’re someone who wants to continue the weekend’s festivities for just a tad longer, consider these three popular Sunday Funday hotspots in the Tampa Bay area.

Whether you’ve partied in Chicago apartments, New York penthouses, or Los Angeles mansions, Hogan’s Beach Club is sure to satisfy your party needs. Terry Gene Bollea, better known as Hulk Hogan, opened this 20,000-square-foot waterfront restaurant and bar on New Year’s Eve in 2012.
Since then, Hogan’s has offered guests plenty of fun activities including a mechanical shark ride, a giant video screen on the beach, indoor and outdoor beachfront dance floors, and two volleyball courts. It recently added a huge water slide to its list of fun things to do, too.
If running around or dancing isn’t your thing, Hogan’s offers plenty of dining options in addition to the 30 beers on tap and 20 wines by the glass. Located on the Courtney Campbell Causeway, it provides visitors the perfect view of sunsets if they can manage to hang that late into the day on a Sunday.

If you’re looking for a cheap cover charge, a beautiful view of the Gulf of Mexico from the dance floor, and weekly drink specials, then Shepard’s on Clearwater Beach is the place to go. Along with special guest DJs every Sunday, Shepard’s also hosts a seafood prime rib buffet to make sure you don’t go hungry while partying.
If you’re still standing after a day of fun in the sun, you can walk over to Shepard’s nightclub “The Wave.” The two-story club features a Sunday hospitality night where drinks are only $1.
Skinny Dip Sundae Pool Party at the Caliente Resort

For the more adventurous partier, the Skinny Dip Pool Party offers the opportunity to sunbathe topless next to a 250,000 gallon wading pool without worries. Choose from a variety of seating options including chaise lounges, day beds, and cabanas, while enjoying the sounds of the waterfalls or the international house music mixes that set the party off right.
Because it’s known to storm in Florida during the afternoons, there’s an indoor nightclub next to the pool that opens up to move the party inside when it rains. The resort also offers water and sand volleyball courts, outdoor BBQ grills, poolside drink service, and a 23,000 gallon pool and hot tub on the upper deck. Although this pool party encourages showing off your sexy body, it’s not required.
If you’ve survived your Friday and Saturday nights and are looking for a way to spend your Sunday, check out these fun places. Just don’t party too late, because Monday morning is right around the corner.
