A few weeks ago, the Social Fresh social media conference landed in Tampa. For two days, great minds in digital media came together to talk about trends, success stories, and the next big thing in social.
So what was the common theme I found throughout the two days and dozen presentations?
The future of social is in caring about, personally connecting with, and helping our community.
During such a rough week in America, this sentiment couldn’t be more true. Now, more than ever, we need to care about our communities, both online and off.
So I took this advice to heart and found a way to better connect with Dive In’s online community. At the conference, Dive In met up with many local leaders in marketing, advertising, and social. The conference gave us the perfect opportunity to meet in person, the faces we’ve seen for so long online.
This list below includes our new Tampa friends. (Some friends included what they found to be the most useful information they learned in the two days that were Social Fresh.)
There were a few people on this list we failed to meet in person, but we hope that won’t be the case for much longer. As part of our new Community connection initiative, Dive In, along with Shannon Palmer and Johnny Crosskey, is planning a post-Social Fresh get-together so we can continue to build inperson relationships with our community. Stay tuned.
