In the military, dedicated men and women contribute to disciplined, motivated and successful teams. But when these veterans return to the workforce, it can often be difficult for them to land jobs where they can showcase their high level work skills.
As of April 2012, the unemployment rate for veterans was 10.9%.
WilsonHCG – a full service recruitment process optimization provider – wants to do something to help.
In honor of Veterans Day, WilsonHCG is launching Operation Transition.
About Operation Transition
Talent acquisition professionals will assemble complementary phone consultations to help veterans and active military personnel get back on solid employment footing.
The primary focus is to assist with the creation of resumes while also offering skill mapping, interviewing tips, and professional networking skills.
The ultimate goal is to help each person transition back into civilian life by providing the career tools they require to present themselves and their experience effectively. With a team of clients, employees and networks onboard, WilsonHCG’s purpose is to support military transition members as they return to the civilian community.
Operation Transition will be available all month. Schedule a free consultation now.
On November 5th, veterans will have an opportunity to schedule one-on-one time with recruitment consultants to ask question and learn about transitions into the workplace, as well as resume and interview tips. There will also be speakers from Men’s Warehouse, LinkedIn and CareerBuilder.
HRO Today in conjunction with CareerBuilder are teaming up with us to conduct a onetime recap webinar open to all veterans who are unable to attend an on-site presentation or phone consultation. This webinar is tentatively scheduled for late November or early December. This event is free for all veterans.
