Remember when everything that was really important happened on the kickball field? Back in elementary school, when you kicked that big, red plastic ball with a deep thud and it went screaming into the outfield, everything was right in the world. You were king or queen of the playground. Nothing else mattered.
Well what if you could bring that sort of simplicity into your adult life? What if you could relive the exuberant joys of a simple, childhood game along with some adult beverages? Is it possible to have more fun that you had on that dirt field behind the jungle gym?
Tampa’s premier kickball club, Go Kickball, says Yes. Their league, a social, over 21, co-ed club, is more than a game of kickball – it’s an event for spending time with old friends and/or meeting new.
The league is social sport. Each week the league hosts after game meet-ups at a sponsored bar where teams can mix, mingle and probably talk some crap about their eight game season.
Signing up for the league costs only $55. Everything is included. All equipment is provided, (including team t-shirts). All referees and field managers are trained and paid professionals. And all park space has been reserved in advance.
So hurry and register for the 2011 Winter/Spring Season. Registration closes on January 13th at 6 p.m. The Winter/Spring season runs from February 17th through April 14th with games on Sundays from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Doc Nance Field.
