2011 is quickly creeping up so start planning where you are going to be when the clock strikes midnight.
Feel Fancy – Get pretty for these parties.
- Rooftop Eve in Old Hyde Park– (9pm – 2am; General Admission $100) – Dress your best for this red carpet event where you will party under a translucent roof tent with complimentary champagne and deserts while watching musical performances by DJ Papi and Vertical Horizon. - Aqua Eve @ The Florida Aquarium – (9pm – 1am; General Admission $100; With Fireworks Cruise $160) – Indulge in all you can eat scallops, steak, shrimp and deserts at this all inclusive party with the fish which includes live music, an open bar and one of the best spots for watching the midnight fireworks. The Big Bucks – Party hard if you’ve got the cash.
- Jackson’s – (10am – 3am; Admission Prices Range from $37.50 to $795.00) – Jackson’s knows how to throw a party. General admission includes party favors, a champagne toast, entrance to indoor and outdoor party areas and a great view of the fireworks. - Rock in the New Year, Orlando’s Citywalk (8pm – 2am; $139.99 + tax) – If you feel like shelling out a little more cash this year, the money will be worth it to take a ride up to Orlando for this event which includes a gourmet all you can eat buffet of filet mignon, jumbo shrimp, decadent deserts and more, a midnight champagne toast, confetti burst, access to seven unique clubs and a live performance by Bret Michaels. For Fun – Events with a kick.
- Channelside Light Up Tampa Bay Extravaganza (All Day; Free) – Channelside will host live entertainment in the courtyard starting at 2pm. A ball drop and traditional New Year’s Fireworks will commence at midnight. You can see the display from Contanchobee Park, Harbour Island, Channelside and some Davis Island locations.
- Outback Bowl Parade – (Parade Starts @ 5:30pm; Fireworks @ 8:15pm; Free) – Start your New Year’s Eve Celebration on 7th Avenue in Ybor with the Florida Gators and Penn State Nittany Lions as they prepare for the New Year’s Day Outback Bowl. The parade will include world-class floats and live marching bands.
- Busch Gardens – (General Admission Rates) – Play the day away at Busch Gardens then stick around for fireworks and a live performance by The Guess Who (no, not The Who, but they still rock.)
- Hard Rock Café and Casino– Choose from two live events at the Hard Rock or just gamble the night away. Sister Hazel will be performing at 10:45pm (Tickets $50). DJ Rockstar will spinning from 1am – 4am to bring in the West Coast New Year. (Tickets $50) More Information.
- Songs of the 80’s at Skipper’s Smokehouse – (7pm – 1am; $25/$35) Relive the 80’s as you bring in 2011 with live performances from 14 bands. The event sponsored by WMNF includes a champagne toast and breakfast buffet. Event Page.
Clubing and Bar Hopping – Cheers!

- Club Empire – ($30-50) One club does have one defining feature of the night that makes them stand out above the rest. Little Wayne is reportedly schedule to appear at Club Empire’s New Year’s Eve bash. Doors open at 9pm and LW is expected to show up sometime around midnight or later. He is not schedule to perform, but it is likely he will grab a mic during the night. MTV cameras will also be in house as they are currently filming Little Wayne for an upcoming documentary.
- Most of the Bars have small covers on the night of New Year’s. Figure out where you are going and check out the list on TBO.com to see if you should bring some extra cash.
- Crazy Happy Hour @ MacDinton’s – One thing is for sure, New Year’s Eve is on Friday so MacDinton’s will be hosting their weekly Crazy Happy Hour of $10 All You Can Drink Draft and Wells. But because it is NYE, the hours are 8pm – 10pm. The perfect start to your night out.
